Sareh Moosavi is Lecturer in Environmental Planning at the University of Melbourne and an affiliated research associate of the Urban Metabolism Lab. Her research and teaching investigate innovative planning and design approaches for climate-responsive cities, with particular attention to landscape-led strategies, nature-based solutions and the role of green infrastructure in complex socio-ecological systems.

Her collaboration with the Lab examines how metabolic and life-cycle thinking can strengthen climate-positive landscape architecture across professional practice, public policy and education. This work considers the knowledge, tools and competencies landscape architects need to address resource use and climate mitigation. In Australia, she also contributes to research and design studios on biodiversity corridors, contested infrastructure landscapes, living shorelines and collaborative urban futures. Across these activities, she connects ecological processes, spatial design and institutional implementation, seeking approaches that produce multiple environmental and community benefits rather than relying solely on conventional engineered responses.
