This article examines how Flemish industrial platforms could contribute to No Net Land Take policy through desealing and ecological-connectivity strategies. It treats industrial sites as potential nodes in wider landscape and water networks rather than as isolated sealed enclaves.

Using a Patch–Corridor–Matrix approach and comparison across sixteen subcatchments, the study maps habitat fragmentation, corridors, water systems and the position of industrial platforms. It identifies locations where selective transformation could reconnect ecological structures and reinforce regional adaptation.

The article provides analytical support for Green with Grey and demonstrates how land-take policy can be translated into territorially differentiated design priorities. It combines spatial evidence with the practical question of where intervention can generate the greatest systemic benefit.
