This contribution develops an integrated framework for multispecies cohabitation analysis and applies it to the Brussels-Capital Region. It responds to the need for urban studies and design methods that recognise animals as active inhabitants rather than as background biodiversity.

The framework combines crowdsourced observation data, spatial analysis and species-specific interpretation. It maps patterns of presence and movement and connects them to urban form, habitat conditions and potential conflicts. The application demonstrates how data can be translated into questions for animal-inclusive planning and design.

The work is a central methodological output of CO-HABITAT. It links quantitative mapping with a broader political and design discussion about non-human agency and the right to urban habitat.
